Final! 8-15-2014

 Phase 2 Done!

Brick Pavers Phase 2 is scheduled for completion on the third week of September 2015 before Homecoming October 2 & 3.

 Phase 3 Now Taking Orders!

After the successful Phase 1 project spearheaded by the Class of 2013 and Phase tow by the Pride Partnership with Maroon Pride many alums and friends of the Alamosa Mean Moose asked for the opportunity to also honor family and friends in a like manner.

Phase One is near the entrance to the new Alamosa Sports Complex (east side) and is reserved for graduating classes as they become alumni.

Phase Two is near the entrance to the new Alamosa Sports Complex (west side) and is reserved for alumni and Mean Moose Amigos.  It is to the west of the entrance just behind the Alamosa A landscape berm.

The brick pavers may be purchased in several sizes.  Single 4 inch by 8 inch pavers with 3 lines (18 to 20 letters) for $40. Single 8 inch by 8 inch pavers may be acquired for $75.  These larger pavers allow 6 lines of names and Class years.

For an additional $10 the Mean Moose logo, alumni can celebrate their ties to Moose Nation and Alamosa High School.

The deadline for Phase 3 is March 4.  The hope is to have the Phase3 part completed by 2016 graduation on Saturday, May 22 at 10 a.m.

Future project phase pavers will equally fund the Alamosa Alumni Association and Maroon Pride and their ongoing commitments.

An equal amount (50/50 split) will also fund Alamosa only Alumni Scholarships beginning in 2016.  Additional profits will be awarded non-athletic Alamosa High School extra-curricular activities such as band, theater, Student Council, Link Crew, choir, forensics, Science Olympiad, and other worthy requests.

The Pride Partnership between the Alumni Association and Maroon Pride promises to be a dynamic way for Mean Moose Nation alumni to continue to support all aspects of the Maroon experience.

Even though the Alumni Association is only 14 months old, they have already established a new tradition with a family friendly Homecoming Event complementing the School and Student Council activities.  The 2015 Homecoming Alumni Event will again be the Saturday afternoon following the home football Friday night game (October 2, 3).

The Association held a Selfies with Santa event in December and established a community effort to collaboratively collect food and toys to share Christmas Joy with those in need. This, too, will be a yearly event.

The Association is in the planning phase of a graduation event to celebrate the Class of 2016 as they matriculate and become the newest Moose Nation alums!

We have a five-year growth plan that commits to keeping the dynamic Moose experience  alive and vibrant.  We strive to be a communication conduit that keeps us in touch and allows us to share our success with one another.
